Why should market move up before election

Worlds largest democracy announced election. There will not be any policy changes now. Market is hoping for the stable government . Now its is the time of opinion polls. Market will swing according to that. Any way I am exiting the positions and sit idle. 

Still there may be lot of trading opportunity in few  individual scrips .
